The mayor of Santiago, David de la Peña Marroquín, kicked off the paving works on Raúl Caballero Street in the San Pedro community, with the aim of boosting development and mobility in the communities.
This work is going to benefit the entire La Esperanza colony, as well as Los Encinos and La Garza Madero. It was a much-needed street that was highly requested by all residents, said the mayor.
It will be a project that will benefit their quality of life, in terms of entering and exiting their colony and, of course, also in terms of safety, so that children can walk and travel on a street that is not full of mud as it usually was when they go to school or go out to the highway to take the bus, — he added.
Furthermore, De la Peña Marroquín highlighted the importance of continuing to work firmly throughout the municipality to build more works that improve the quality of life and generate more benefits for the families of Santiago.
The project includes 1,739 square meters of hydraulic concrete, 520 linear meters of curbs and gutters, the leveling of a manhole and a valve, as well as the construction of a vehicular bridge, infrastructure that will strengthen connectivity in the area.
